

I would have thought that dropping a video card into that available PCIE16X1 slot would improve gaming performance greatly, but the benchmarks imply that there would be little to no improvement in performance. I went to the PassMark benchmark site and compared the performance of the Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics with the card above and a couple of others that were more expensive, but the benchmark scores for the video cards I sampled don't show that much of an improvement in performance over the integrated Intel HD 4600 graphics. Graphic and Video Editing applications sometimes have certain settings where you can offload your computation needs to a graphics card that is not currently in use by your monitors. However, I have also an unused NVidia card which handles the raytracing. I have tried two DELL Optiplex 9020 PCs with the same 'No signal' problem: When the 'Intel hd 4600' Graphic Driver loads the signal is lost. For example, when doing Raytracing with Adobe After Effects, my primary cards are ATI Radeons. The problem is with I5 'Intel hd 4600' when a PC has a Display Port output. Sorting by best rating, I found this card: including Laptop with the 'Intel hd 4600' Graphic, but with HDMI output. I went on NewEgg and searched for some video cards that would run on that slot, and there were quite a few. The computer has a 300W power supply and one PCIE16X1 slot on the motherboard. I received the computer above as a hand me down from some relatives which I would like to give to my kid for some gaming, mostly for Minecraft and Roblox. When doing so, check the box that says delete the 4600 software. HP hasn't updated this driver in over 2 years. The INTEL download isn't available due to my current driver being an HP customized one.
